A case was registered in opposition to Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) legislator Kamal Shing Narzary on Sunday for allegedly making derogatory remarks in opposition to its ally BJP’s MLA Angoorlata Deka, police mentioned. We will inquire into the matter as per the law,” Singh instructed PTI. Narzary had allegedly referred to as actor-turned-politician Deka a “sex worker” on Saturday whereas chatting with reporters between election campaigning for the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections, the primary part of which is on Monday.
The native BJP leaders on Sunday morning filed the police grievance and slammed the BPF chief’s remark. The BJP and the BPF, that are a part of a coalition authorities within the state, are individually contesting the election to the 40-member BTC.
Both the events are engaged in a bitter marketing campaign with the utilization of many unparliamentary phrases by the leaders of the 2 outfits. The first part of the BTC elections will happen on December 7 for 21 constituencies, whereas the second part for 19 seats will probably be held on December 10.
