India and Australia are set to face one another within the four-match Test collection, starting from December 17 in Adelaide. The first match of the collection is a day-night contest.
Warner had injured his adductor muscle within the second ODI of the three-match collection in opposition to India, after which he missed the final ODI and three-match T20I collection in opposition to the guests.
The left-handed batsman will now stay in Sydney to proceed his rehabilitation and specialised remedy whereas the vast majority of the Australian Test squad journey to Adelaide.

“I feel I have made great progress in a short amount of time and it’s best for me to stay here in Sydney to continue working on getting back to full fitness. The injury feels a lot better, but I need to be able to satisfy in my own mind and to my teammates that it is 100 per cent ready for Test match conditions,” Warner mentioned in an official launch.
“That includes running between the wickets and being agile in the field. Right now I feel I am short of being able to play at peak fitness and another 10 days will make a difference,” he added.
