Raigarh:
A person in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district reportedly threw his three sons right into a river as we speak earlier than leaping in allegedly over a household dispute, police stated.
A search operation was launched to hint them within the river, which is in spate resulting from heavy rain within the space, they stated.
“The incident took place early morning at a bridge on the Maand river,” Raigarh Superintendent of Police (SP) Santosh Singh stated.
The man, recognized as Kartikeshwar Rathiya and a local of Edu village, was headed to Barra village alongside along with his sons Khirsagar (5), Narmada (3) and eight-month-old Tej Prakash on a motorbike, he stated.
He all of a sudden stopped the car on the bridge and threw his kids into the river and later jumped in, he stated.
“After receiving information, police rushed to the spot along with some divers and started a search operation in the river. However, none of them has been traced so far,” he stated.
As per the preliminary data, household dispute is being suspected to be the explanation behind the intense step taken by Rathiya, a employee within the electrical energy wing of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), he stated.
Further investigation is in progress, he added.
