A Chinese citizen has been arrested by the police for spreading “online rumours” claiming that poor high quality of military automobiles and inside corruption precipitated the dying of Chinese soldiers throughout the clash with Indian border troops.

In the confession letter, Zhou wrote that he “fabricated” the story on the night of August 2 after ingesting.
Zhou wrote that he made up that poor high quality of automobiles precipitated the dying of Chinese soldiers and 500 automobiles of the Dongfeng firm needed to be recalled.

“The Dongfeng company has been engaged in the R&D and manufacturing of high-mobility off-road vehicles for military operations for a long time, being considered as China’s top military vehicles manufacturer,” the write-up stated.
The web site eng.chinamil.com.cn is the one official English language navy information web site of the PLA.
