The Eiffel Tower was evacuated for a number of hours on Wednesday after police obtained a name suggesting a bomb had been positioned there.
The Paris monument had been searched and no explosives discovered, a police spokeswoman mentioned.
It reopened at about 2.25 p.m (1225 GMT).
Several hundred individuals, together with vacationers, restaurant employees and workmen have been led away from the tower within the late morning.
“It was an orderly evacuation, there was no panic,” mentioned Manuel, a tour information on website when the evacuation order was given.
