Amid hypothesis over his future political transfer, West Bengal minister Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday took a dig on the ruling TMC for organising simultaneous rally in Nandigram to mark “Nandigram Diwas”, saying that a number of persons are visiting the world after 13 years because the meeting elections are approaching.
Mr Adhikari, who has been sustaining a distance from the get together’s high management for the previous few months, was addressing a rally to pay respects to martyrs of Bhumi Uchhed Pratirodh Committee (Land Eviction Resistance Committee), who died on today in 2007 through the anti-land acquisition motion, and stated he would announce his subsequent plan of action from a political platform.

His comments came in the backdrop of the TMC’s announcement that it is going to hold a rally here to mark “Nandigram Divas”.
Posters of the chief minister and the party’s flag were seen at the ground where the TMC is scheduled to hold a rally later in the day to mark the 13th “Nandigram Diwas”.

West Bengal minister and senior TMC leader Firhad Hakim, who is scheduled to address the party’s rally here said, “It would have been good had Suvendu addressed the rally underneath the banner of the TMC.”
The BUPC is an organisation which was fashioned by farmers of Nandigram to oppose the alleged forcible land acquisition for industrialisation by the then Left Front regime.
The TMC, then the principal opposition, had patronised the BUPC and after coming to energy, a number of members of the committee had joined the get together.
