Five personnel of the CRPF’s CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) unit had been injured in an IED blast triggered by naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on late Saturday night, an official mentioned.
The Improvised Explosive Device went off within the forest close to Tadmetla village when a group of safety forces was out on an anti-naxal operation, Inspector General of Police (Bastar vary) Sundarraj P mentioned.
“At least five personnel belonging to CoBRA’s 206th battalion sustained injuries in the blast,” he mentioned.
“The injured are being evacuated from the forest,” he added.
A CRPF official mentioned that one of many 5 personnel had suffered important accidents.
