The Maharashtra authorities on Tuesday scrapped the 70:30 region-wise system for admission in medical courses in the state.

Making an announcement in the state Assembly, Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh mentioned admissions would now be primarily based on the outcomes of scholars who’ve appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
