Mizoram would withdraw a piece of its forces from the border with Assam and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel might be deployed of their place, a senior official stated on Sunday.
The determination was taken at a gathering, chaired by Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, between the chief secretaries of Assam and Mizoram, he stated.
Addressing the press after the assembly, Mizoram Chief Secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaungo stated a unanimous determination was taken that Mizoram will withdraw its forces from the disputed areas and the blockade on National Highway-306 on the Assam aspect might be lifted.
