The Enforcement Directorate has made a second arrest in reference to its cash laundering case towards a safety service supplier firm and others that features Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik, officers stated on Wednesday.
They stated Tops Group Managing Director M Shashidharan was positioned underneath arrest on Monday night time in Mumbai underneath numerous sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The Enforcement Directorate is probing the position of Mr Shashidharan in reference to alleged monetary irregularities in offering Tops Grup safety guards for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) initiatives throughout 2014-15 and the funds made on this connection.

The ED had earlier arrested Amit Chandole, an alleged affiliate of Pratap Sarnaik, on this case.
The central probe company, sources had stated, is probing Mr Chandole’s position and alleged suspect dealings with Pratap Sarnaik, Tops Grup safety offering service and Rahul Nanda, they stated.
Mr Nanda, as per media reviews, had denied any wrongdoing, reported information company Press Trust of India.
Searches at ten premises of Pratap Sarnaik, Rahul Nanda and few others had been launched by the ED on March 24 in neighbouring Thane and Mumbai.
The Shiv Sena had earlier referred to as the raids a “political vendetta” and stated the Maharashtra authorities or its leaders won’t give up to stress from anybody.
The ED case relies on a Mumbai Police financial offences wing FIR filed towards the promoters of the Tops Grup on prices of alleged irregularities in acquisition of some abroad belongings in 2009 and another transactions.
Pratap Sarnaik, 56, represents the Ovala-Maijwada constituency within the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and can also be a spokesperson for his celebration.
His elder son Vihang has been questioned by the company, which has summoned the daddy and son for questioning once more.
