The Indian Railways will begin conducting the primary stage of computer-based exams from December 15, mentioned the nationwide transporter’s board chairman VK Yadav on Saturday. The railway board chairman mentioned the exams couldn’t be performed until now because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We invited applications for recruitment in various categories for 1,40,640 posts. These were notified in the pre-COVID period. Scrutiny of these applications was completed, but due to COVID-19 pandemic a computer-based examination could not be completed,” Yadav mentioned.
Railway Recruitment Boards are dedicated to holding computer-based checks for all notified vacancies and have been actively assessing the bottom scenario amid the pandemic, an announcement from the Railways mentioned.
These are, 35,208 posts in non-technical in style classes (NTPC) like guards, workplace clerks, business clerks and others, 1,663 posts for remoted and ministerial classes reminiscent of steno and teaches, and 1,03,769 for level-one vacancies reminiscent of observe maintainers and pointsman.
