Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh has stated that Sushant Singh Rajput’s death will be investigated by the Mumbai Police, and the case will not be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation, regardless of sustained public stress. “Mumbai police are investigating the case. It will not be transferred to Central Bureau of Investigation,” Deshmukh stated, in accordance to ANI, following a gathering on Wednesday.
His feedback come a day after Sushant’s father, KK Singh, filed an FIR in Patna in opposition to the actor’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, below the assorted sections of the Indian Penal Code. Rhea on Wednesday filed a petition to switch the investigation to Mumbai.

Rhea had earlier demanded a CBI probe into Rajput’s death case. She had stated that she was the deceased actor’s “girlfriend” and requested a CBI inquiry to “understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step”.
Sushant’s father, in his FIR stated that on June 8, when Rhea discovered that the financial institution steadiness of Sushant goes down, she left with money, jewelry, laptop computer, bank card, its pin quantity and password and vital paperwork and docs’ receipts.
According to the Maharashtra police, statements of 41 individuals, together with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt movie critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have been recorded within the investigation thus far. Sushant was discovered lifeless in his Mumbai residence on June 14.
