Country’s aviation security regulator DGCA at the moment prolonged the suspension of scheduled worldwide industrial passenger flights to December 31.
The restrictions, nevertheless, is not going to apply on worldwide all-cargo operations and flights particularly authorised by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), an official round stated.
“In partial modification of circular dated 26.6.2020, the competent authority has further extended the validity of circular issued on the subject cited above regarding scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India till 2359 hours (IST) of December 31, 2020,” the DGCA stated within the round.
International scheduled flights, nevertheless, could also be allowed on chosen routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case foundation, the round added.
The suspension of worldwide industrial passenger flights from/to India, which has been in place since March 23 within the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, was to run out on November 30.
In the absence of standard flight service on abroad routes, particular worldwide flights are being operated beneath the Vande Bharat Mission since May and beneath bilateral “air bubble” preparations with chosen international locations since July.
