Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen mentioned Friday she’s going to ease restrictions on imports of U.S. beef and pork, clearing the largest impediment to free-trade talks with Washington.
At a televised information briefing, Ms. Tsai mentioned she has instructed her authorities to ease rules to permit imports of American pork containing hint quantities of an animal-feed additive utilized by some U.S. farms, and U.S. beef merchandise from cattle aged 30 months and older.
