The Mumbai police have arrested two individuals from Delhi for allegedly operating a name centre and duping a whole lot of job seekers, an official stated.
Arif Abdul Rashid (24) and Sujahud Suhelhud (25), each residents of the nationwide capital, had been arrested on Wednesday by Matunga police from the town, he stated.
In February the Matunga police had registered an offence of dishonest after a girl complained that on-line fraudsters duped her of Rs 40,000 on the pretext of providing her a job.
During the probe, police raided a name centre in Subhash Nagar in Delhi from the place calls had been positioned to gullible job-seekers.
The accused supplied high-paying jobs however demanded cash for sending supply letter and different formalities.
After spending hundreds of rupees, job seekers would understand that they had been being cheated, stated Vijaysingh Ghatge, senior inspector of Matunga police station.
While metropolis police had recived 30 such complaints, the accused are additionally prone to have duped many from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Odisha and Gujarat, stated police.
