Union Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik on Friday stated navy institutions in Goa are prepared to assist the state authorities in case the COVID-19 outbreak worsens.
Mr Naik, a Lok Sabha MP from Goa, chaired a gathering together with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant right here the place senior officers of Coast Guard, Navy and Army have been current.
He stated the three wings had agreed to supply all assist required, together with manpower and well being amenities.
Mr Naik, who can also be Union AYUSH minister, stated all households within the state could be given immunity boosters by native MLAs.
“We are taking up the distribution on a war-footing in all 40 Assembly constituencies. The boosters would be supplied to panchayats from where it will be distributed to households.
The AYUSH ministry will give 4 lakh boosters, and the state’s requirement is around 6 lakh.” he stated.
