Union Home Minister Amit Shah devoted a Rs 380 crore fifth reservoir to cater to Chennai’s consuming water provide in Tamil Nadu and laid the muse stone for varied infrastructure initiatives, totalling over Rs 67,000 crore, throughout the state.
The initiatives included the Rs 61,843 crore part II of Chennai Metro Rail, elevated freeway in Coimbatore at an estimated Rs 1,620 crore, a barrage throughout river Cauvery in Karur district and IOCL’s initiatives price over Rs 3,000 crore.
