A written order from the Sindh High Court calling for the release stated that Sheikh and three different men had “suffered irreparable harm and extreme prejudice” after spending 18 years behind bars previous to their acquittal after which “almost a further nine months” based mostly on detention orders issued by the Sindh authorities.
