Security forces on Tuesday arrested two males categorised as “overground workers” by safety forces or associates of terrorists from Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir and seized Rs 6 lakh from their possession meant for funding the Al-Badr terror outfit, police mentioned.
“Acting on a specific information, police and security forces today morning arrested two terrorist associates at Ladhoo Crossing when the duo was travelling on a scooter from Shopian district to Khrew area in Pulwama,” a police official mentioned.
He mentioned the arrested males have been recognized as Rayees-ul-Hassan and Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, each residents of the Awantipora space within the district.
“Incriminating material of proscribed outfit Al-Badr has been recovered from their possession which includes Rs 6 lakh Indian currency,” he mentioned.
The two-wheeler used for the fee of the crime has additionally been seized, the official added.

Meanwhile, three terror associates of Hizbul Mujahideen have been arrested from Ganderbal district through the intervening night time of Monday and Tuesday.
