In January 2021, NBC Network delivered a final ending to the Good Place Television Show, which is also apparently one of the favorites at Netflix on a global level. With NBC completing the show early, Netflix users are still on the wait for The Good Place Season 5. However, the unlucky news is that it may not come at all. Premiered last year in January 2020, The Good Place Season 4 Episode 13, “Whenever You’re Ready,” left its viewers with a bolt out of the blue.
For 90% of the viewers, the Good Place’s finale was satisfactory and emotionally saturating. However, the 10% audience is still wondering and hoping for the Good Place makers to come up with the fifth season. Well! When a tv show is so good, no one wants it to end. Especially Netflix has given out some timeline-specific shows like Orange Is the New Black with seven seasons, but was it enough? A few would still say NO.
But, irrespective of how much the audience wants the fifth season of The Good Place, the makers have canceled it. And according to their interviews, it is crystal-clear that there’s no going back. Talking to the biggest Ffanof this show on Netflix, we have brought to you ten most aspiring and unheard of fans conspiracies relating to the Good Place. Are you ready for extra reality entertainment? Let’s get started:
#1: Janet might have disclosed as GOD in the Good Place Season 5
As much as fans desired for it to be true, Janet is not GOD’s made-up character in the series. Some may say, “tell that to Janet’s behavior which is too good to be true.” However, the audience out there is expecting writers to disclose Janet as the GOD in the Good Place Season 5. The reason being, Janet is the one who was willing to physically change Janson, Chidi, Eleanor, and Tahini’s identity into herself duplicate, accidentally.
In comparison, Janet herself never believed that she is human. And, it is one of the beliefs that led her to death at the hands of Jason. Is that right?
In any case, now that the Good Place Season 5 is not coming at all, the audience is free to take their personal call on identifying who God is in The Good Place? Let us know your call in the comment section.
#2: Jason’s birth would have been desperately funny and awful at the same time
To begin with, The Good Place series writers left a lot of things for the viewers to contemplate by themselves. In the entire series, Jason has been considered a dumb, and his brain is “smooth as an egg.” But, have you ever atonished at why it is that? Well! Fans have a theory. Since the Good Place Season 5 is canceled, there’s no way for the audience to imagine how desperate, funny, and awful Jason’s birth would have been in the swimming pool.
Apart from this, Jason’s many hidden traits come straight from his Donkey Drug father. So, there’s no denying that Jason is fudged up.
But, lucky for Jason, he finally gets Janet to wear the necklace. And hopefully, Chidi waited up for him. Anyway, he left the audience with quite a self-absorbing quote “Yo, you should listen to me. I came up with hundreds of plans in my life, and only one of them got me killed.”
So, what’s your favorite quote from the Good Place Netflix series?
#3: Which Janet Place was grooviest of all?
In many Fan’s theories, the grooviest place that Janet could have would have been Janet’s Disco Place. But, once again, the Good Place Writers, who apparently dropped season 5, never described whether Disco Janet was Good, Bad, or Medium.
It is challenging for the audience to put Janet in places other than Good or Bad. However, a visual description of Janet’s other places in the void may help.
According to Wikipedia, the Disco Janet doesn’t have a place. So, it is rather complex to define Disco Janet as real as the other three confirmed forms of Janet. Hence, she is just a marbleized disco ball hanging in there, literally!
#4: Could Michael be God? Some may say NEVER!
Fanfictions like Good Place cause the attention of viewers to run wild. With the complete revelation of Micheal at the end of the Good Place Season 1 as a torturing demon. Was that a hint?
To begin with, many religions all over the world believe that both “God and Satan” live in a single soul. Meaning, God and Satan are not separated. Indeed, there is one. Depending on human’s Karama, God either blesses like a God or punishes like a Demon.
Thus, on the one hand, you can say that Micheal is the satan in the series. However, if you look through the clues that were there all along, Micheal can turn out to be God evidently. For example, in Hebrew, the language of jews, Micheal stands for “Alike of God.” Or someone who is similar to God. So, if that’s not a perfect-fitting clue, what is?
And maybe, Janet is only God’s angel at work. Think about it!
#5: Was the Good Place season 4 all about Bad Janet’s motive?
Unlike the main title of the series, “The Good Place,” viewers had more fun with the Bad Place, which was all about the Bad Janet. For example, in the mentioned season, Bad Janet (though she is a brilliant mind) crafted a lie-detecting device that transformed Glenn into goo. In the Good Place, Glenn no longer exists in a human form. However, he was a lying demon from a bad place. However, Janet killed him, in one way or another.
So, when Janet says, “Glenn blew up,” many in the audience felt bad for the guy. Come on! He was just trying to say his name on the original certificate. And, isn’t it possible that the lie detector was simply not Janet’s perfect creation?
#6: Chidi means “God is Real,” But the theory never fit
Do you think the good place audience means to be racist? The answer is NO. And, of course, the offensive word doesn’t fit for the writers and the producer of the show as well. At one point in the series, it was crystal-clear that Chidi’s actual meaning is “God is Real.”
Once again, the audience picked on this clue and concluded Chidi as God. However, in the series, Chidi’s consistent anxiety doesn’t fit the character of God at all. And to be honest, if Chidi was God, he would have stopped Janet from blowing up Glenn into a Blue Goo that took over the place, even the ceiling. LOL!
#7: Is there a good place? Or was it just a BIG show?
Even though at the conclusion of the series, when everyone from the Soul Squad made it to the good place, fans seriously doubted its existence until the end. According to one of the scenes, it was disclosed that for over five hundred years, the good place has not opened up for anyone. So, why would it be any different for Tahini, Jason, Chidi, and Eleanor?
If we inject some form of reality into it, it is hard to believe that the kindest people from the past like Mother Tereasa, Lord Buddha, and Martin Luther King didn’t go to the Good Place?
#8: Could Janet have been human in the Good Place Season 5?
For the most part, lovers of the show “The Good Place” wanted to see Janet as a human being for once. With over 800 reboots, Janet had evidently softened up by Season Four. Henceforth, it was rather common for viewers to be excited about Janet’s transformation as a human with emotions by the mid-way of the Good Place Season 5.
Although, Janet did show up and act out of emotions from time to time. So, that was a lucky hunch for Janet’s fans. Janet’s character indeed reminds many viewers of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory, who always had a hard time contemplating human emotions. Even though the plotlines of both series were completely different, Janet and Sheldon’s characters were striking.
#9: What happened to the Good Place Season 5?
When NBC declared The Good Place Season 4 would be the finale. Many and many viewers had hardcore expectations from Netflix to pick up the series from the ground and continue. But, unfortunately, 60% of the show’s viewers find the season 4 finale a perfect fit for the story. Thus, there’s no reason for Netflix to go back.
In the meantime, many sitcom viewers and critics viewed the Good Place as the last best sitcom on television. Times also wrote an article about it.
#10: Jason had a few characteristics of God
With the Good Place Season 5 not coming at all, God can be anyone from the characters of the show. But, even in the far-fetching landfills of audience brainstorming, Jason doesn’t even make it to that list. However, when the audience re-watched the show on Netflix, Jason’s character appeared like someone who isn’t making an effort to give good advice.
Indeed, in not a single scene of the series, the gang follows Jason’s steps. He is always the one told by others what to do? So, if we view Jason from a positive point of view, he is the one who knows what’s going to happen? Because he is God. Henceforth, he intentionally gives bad advice and allows the team to work for themselves.
What do you think?
Epilogue
In the end, it is time to drop all hopes for The Good Place Season 5 to come. Those who love the show can dive into the entertainment lake that it offers. We suggest binge-watching this series on Netflix while it’s available. You may never know if some new series replaces it very soon. Thank you!
