The Indian stand stays agency on full disengagement throughout Eastern Ladakh, a defence supply said.
The eigth round of Corps Commander talks between India and China started at Chushul on Friday morning as half of efforts to resolve the stand-off in Eastern Ladakh ongoing since early May.
The talks started at 9.30 a.m. on the Indian facet at Chushul, a defence supply confirmed. The Indian stand remained agency on full disengagement throughout Eastern Ladakh, the supply said.
After the developments on the South Bank of Pangong Tso on August when the Indian Army occupied a number of dominating options which have been mendacity vacant, China has been urgent for discussing South Bank first and different friction areas later.
This is the primary round of talks with the Indian facet led by Lt. Gen. P.G.Ok. Menon who took over because the 14 Corps Commander on October 13. Lt. Gen. Menon has attended the final two rounds of talks.
With no progress in talks to resolve the stand-off which has ongoing since first week on May, either side have made preparations to take care of 1000’s of troops and tools in excessive circumstances within the excessive altitude winter.
While either side had agreed to “stop sending more troops to the frontline” and “refrain from unilaterally changing the situation on the ground” at the sixth round of talks, there was no additional progress in the direction of decision.
