BJD Chief Naveen Patnaik Expels MLA For 'Anti-People' Activities

Ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Sunday expelled Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi from the regional get together on cost of “anti-people” actions.

An official launch issued by the BJD stated: “Pradeep Panigrahi, MLA Gopalpur is expelled from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect for his anti-people activities.”

The three-time MLA and a former minister, is the primary chief within the regional get together who has been expelled on cost of “anti-people” actions, although many members prior to now had been faraway from the BJD on “anti-party” costs.

Though the BJD’s official order signed by its normal secretary (Media Affair) Manas Ranjan Mangaraj talked about Panigrahi’s “anti-people” actions, it was not clarified the character of the offence he allegedly indulged in.

The get together motion towards Panigrahi got here after the anti-corruption vigilance wing established his alleged affiliation with suspended Indian Forest Service Officer (IFS) Abhay Kant Pathak and his son Akash Kumar Pathak.

Mr Pathak’s son has additionally been accused of dishonest youths from Ganjam district by luring them with jobs in a reputed firm.

Mr Panigrahi allegedly helped Akash within the dishonest incidents, sources within the vigilance stated.

Mr Panigrahi was not instantly obtainable for remark.
