Two terrorists have been killed in an encounter with safety forces in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, police stated.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation early Monday morning in Srigufwara space of Anantnag district following details about the presence of terrorists there, a police official stated.
He stated the search operation became an encounter round 6:40 am when the hiding terrorists opened fireplace on the safety forces, who retaliated.

In the following gunfight, two terrorists have been killed and incriminating materials, together with arms and ammunition, have been recovered from the location of the encounter, the official stated.
He stated the search operation within the space was underway.
