Mumbai:
The Bihar police crew which is in Mumbai in reference to their probe into the alleged suicide by Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput didn’t observe established protocols, a Maharashtra minister stated on Thursday.
Minister of State for Home Shambhuraj Desai stated what the Bihar police had been doing was unsuitable. A crew of the Bihar police arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday to probe an “abetment to suicide” case registered against actor Rhea Chakraborty and others in Patna connection with the death of Rajput.
“The Mumbai police have registered a case… from day one we’re investigating it,” he said.
Mr Desai said the Patna police have registered a case and a team has landed in Mumbai.
“Whenever a police crew from a state visits one other state for investigation, there are some protocols that are to be adopted.. these weren’t adopted,” Mr Desai told a news channel.
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had on Wednesday ruled out a CBI probe into the death of Mr Rajput (34), who was found dead in his suburban Bandra apartment on June 14.
“The Mumbai police are investigating the case and there’s no query of the case being handed over to the CBI,” Mr Deshmukh had stated.
