Srinagar:
Four terrorists had been killed on Friday in an encounter with the safety forces in Kiloora village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district. This is without doubt one of the rarest gunfights within the Union Territory through which a terrorist surrendered, police stated.
The police stated two of the useless terrorists had been concerned within the kidnapping and killing of a panchayat member affiliated to the BJP.
The encounter came about hours after the physique of Nisar Ahmad Bhat, a panchayat member, was present in an apple orchard. Mr Bhat was kidnapped by terrorists 10 days in the past.
“We have killed the terrorists involved in the killing of a panchayat member. Encounter took place soon after his body was found today,” Vijay Kumar, IGP Kashmir, stated.
Police stated the encounter began after they acquired a selected details about the presence of 5 terrorists within the village in Shopian. The operation was collectively launched by the military, police and the paramilitary CRPF.

“One terrorist surrendered. We have taken him into custody and he will be dealt with as per law,” an officer stated.
