Sulochana Subrahmanyam, mom of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, handed away on Saturday Mr Jaishankar knowledgeable concerning the demise of his mom in a tweet, together with an image of her.
“Deeply grieved to inform of the passing away today of my mother Sulochana Subrahmanyam. We ask her friends and well-wishers to keep her in their thoughts. Our family is especially grateful to all those who supported her during her illness,” he stated.
Mr Jaishankar additionally shared an image of his mom who was in her late 80s. She is survived by her sons — Jaishankar, S Vijay Kumar and Sanjay Subrahmanyam.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, BJP chief Ram Madhav, Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant had been amongst those that condoled Ms Subrahmanyam’s demise.
Her husband Okay Subrahmanyam, who was a famous strategic affairs professional and was often known as the daddy of India’s nuclear doctrine, died in February 2011.
