India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will arrive in Sri Lanka for a high-level regional maritime dialogue starting Friday, Lanka’s army spokesman stated on Thursday.
Sri Lanka is about to host the fourth nationwide safety advisor trilateral assembly on maritime safety cooperation with India and Maldives on November 27 and 28, army spokesman Brigadier Chandana Wickramasingha stated.
The assembly is to happen after six years – the final assembly was held in New Delhi in 2014.
Mr Doval and Maldivian defence minister Maria Didi are anticipated to steer their respective delegations.
There shall be observers from Bangladesh, Mauritius and Seychelles, the army stated.
