Meena Kumar at 9 months outdated was discovered deserted in a basket on a faculty campus in Pune, India. After spending a yr in an orphanage, she was adopted by a couple in Mumbai and dropped at San Jose, California.
Meena first heard of the rescue from a neighbor whose canine had been adopted from Muttville. The neighbor shared tales of how senior dogs are sometimes left behind in shelters. With tender love and care, these dogs could make nice companions.
“More people should adopt senior dogs,” says Meena. “They give you the same unconditional love as any other dog.”
Meena understood what it felt like to be left behind, and wished to assist the senior dogs find the loving properties they deserve, just like she did. The downside was, Meena needed to be 17-years-old to volunteer at Muttville, and she was solely 12.
Meena started pet sitting in her personal home for her neighbors and faculty mates with the objective of supporting Muttville. “You are never too young to start a business,” says Meena.
“We need their love more than ever,” she says.
