A 42-year-old journalist was brutally assaulted in broad daylight in Assam’s Kamrup district on Sunday and has claimed that the police have failed to take motion towards the accused, who attacked him allegedly for his reportage on native land-grabbing actions.
Milan Mahanta, who works with the main Assamese every day ‘Pratidin’, advised the media that he was tied to an electrical publish and thrashed by goons after he reported on a collection of incidents associated to playing and forceful land acquisition towards them.
