Apple has formally opened enrollment for the new App Store Small Business Program. This program permits builders to qualify for a commission charge of 15% in the event that they earn as much as $1 million.
Apple explains the fundamentals:
- Existing builders who made as much as 1 million USD in proceeds in 2020 for all their apps, in addition to builders new to the App Store, can qualify for this system and the lowered commission.
- If a collaborating developer surpasses the 1 million USD threshold, the usual commission charge will apply for the rest of the 12 months.
- If a developer’s proceeds fall beneath the 1 million USD threshold in a future calendar 12 months, they’ll re-qualify for the 15% commission the 12 months after.

Apple says that you have to submit your enrollment by December 18, 2020, at 10 a.m. PST to obtain program advantages by January 1, 2021.
