Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya has been defrauded of Rs 6 lakh by means of two pretend cheques and the fraud was detected throughout the verification strategy of a 3rd pretend cheque, stated police on Thursday.

The transactions were carried out in Lucknow in Punjab National Bank branch,”Ayodhya’s circle officer Rajesh Kumar Rai instructed ANI.
“However, when another cheque for Rs 9.86 lakh was presented to the Bank of Baroda on 9 September, the bank called Champat Rai for verification. Rai browsed through the chequebook and found the cheque bearing that number was still in his possession, so he decided to file an FIR with the Kotwali police station Wednesday night,” he added.

On September 4, the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has handed over the authorized design of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple being constructed in Ayodhya to the Ram Temple Trust.
The Trust had on August 20 stated that the development of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir has “begun” and the engineers had begun testing the soil on the web site.In February this yr, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the structure of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, to supervise the development of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
