A Bengaluru-based man, wanting to purchase a high-end luxurious automobile at a comparatively cheaper price received duped by a fraud. Even when he didn’t get supply of the promised Mercedes after paying Rs 78,000, he waited for 3 months, considering the vendor was caught up due to the lockdown.
According to a report in Bangalore Mirror, the businessman, Khaleel Sharif, wished to purchase a second-hand luxurious automobile at a comparatively cheaper value.
Sharif, who used to frequent a storage and servicing station in Jeevan Bimanagar, met a relative of the storage proprietor. The man, who launched himself as Dastagir, mentioned that he can get him a pre-owned luxurious automobile for Rs 2 lakh.
Then he contacted Sharif a couple of 2006 mannequin of Mercedes up for sale at Rs 2.25 lakh. After some negotiation, Sharif agreed to pay Rs 2 lakh and made a cost of Rs 78,000 by Google Pay on March 11, mentioned the report.
Dastagir had promised to ship the automobile in 2 days. However, quickly after the cost was made, Dastagir’s telephone was switched off.
However, he didn’t elevate an alarm even then and waited for the lockdown to finish. After three months, Sharif went to the storage of Dastagir’s relative and requested for him.
The storage proprietor assured him that his cash can be returned to him. But then Sharif determined to go to the police. There he learnt that Dastagir had no less than 30 comparable complaints towards his title.
