The court docket requested state authorities counsel advocate Purnima Kanthariya whether or not there have been any provisions to cease a 70-year-old store proprietor from working at his store, to which Mr Kanthariya responded saying “there wasn’t”.
“How can you stop only people from from doing work and earning their livelihood?” the bench requested.
The court docket, after going by all of the details of the case, appointed senior counsel Sharad Jagtiani as amicus curiae within the matter. IMPPA and Pande have been represented by advocate Ashok Saraogi.
“As per the list available with the petitioner, there are thousands of people aged above 65 years who were participating in the shooting of programmes prior to the lockdown. The shootings of such films and programmes have been left in between due to the non-availability of such people,” one of many pleas stated.
It stated that the rule within the matter was not sensible and was not truthful as in no different career this situation was imposed.
