Car Strikes Multiple People At Black Lives Matter March In New York: Cops

A motorist struck a number of pedestrians collaborating in a Black Lives Matter protest in New York City on Friday, police and media reviews stated.

A spokesman for the New York Police Department advised AFP that the car struck “multiple” folks in Manhattan’s Murray Hill space at 4:08 pm (native time).

“An unknown number of people have been injured. They have been taken to various hospitals,” he stated.

“It is not thought that any of the injuries are life-threatening,” the spokesman added. He stated it was “too early to tell” whether or not it was intentional or a visitors accident.

“The driver stayed at the scene,” the spokesman stated, including that the individual was in custody.

ABC News reported that the car hit various folks collaborating in a Black Lives Matter protest.

The outlet stated between 40 and 50 protesters had been within the space on the time.

ABC stated the demonstration had spilled onto the road and that protesters had surrounded a automobile.

The automobile then drove into the protesters, injuring no less than six of them, ABC added.

The information channel stated a girl was driving and he or she was being questioned by police.
