Karnal:
A case has been filed towards Haryana Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) president Gurnam Singh Chaduni for his alleged involvement within the farmers’ agitation within the state in protest towards the brand new farm legal guidelines, police stated.
“Two cases have been registered against protesting farmers. The case has been filed under relevant section against Kisan leaders including Gurnam Singh Chaduni. A case has been also filed against some unidentified farmer leaders,” Karnal’s Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rajiv Kumar, stated.
Over the previous few months, 1000’s of farmers primarily from Punjab have been protesting towards the brand new agricultural laws which they are saying might be exploited by the personal sector to purchase their crops at low costs.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday stated the central authorities was prepared to carry talks on their “every problem and demand”.
He urged the farmers, who’re protesting towards three farm legal guidelines enacted not too long ago, to shift to Nirankari Samagam Ground marked for his or her protest by Delhi Police and stated the Centre was prepared to speak to them earlier than December 3.
“To farmers protesting at the Delhi-Haryana border and Punjab border, I would like to tell them that the central government is ready to discuss all their issues over a meeting called upon by the agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar on December 3. We are ready to hear all their concerns and demands,” Amit Shah instructed ANI.
He urged leaders of farmer organisations to deliver the farmers to the designated place as will probably be extra handy for them and the commuters and so they can proceed their protest in a democratic method.
The Farmer’s Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 have been handed by the Upper House in September by means of voice vote regardless of objection from opposition events.
