The CBI has termed media studies attributed to it on its probe into the dying of actor Sushant Singh Rajput as “speculative and not based on facts”, within the first official assertion from the company on the case in the present day.
In the assertion issued late night, the CBI stated it’s conducting investigation into Sushant Rajput’s dying in a scientific {and professional} approach.
“Certain media reports attributed to CBI investigation are speculative and not based on facts. It is reiterated that as a matter of policy, CBI does not share details of ongoing investigation,” the company stated.
“CBI spokesperson or any team member has not shared any details of investigation with media. The details being reported and attributed to CBI are not credible,” it stated.
Sushant Rajput, 34, was discovered lifeless at his condominium in suburban Bandra in Mumbai on June 14.
The CBI had filed an FIR taking on the probe from Bihar Police into the alleged abetment to suicide case filed by the actor’s father KK Singh in Patna in opposition to Sushant Rajput’s good friend Rhea Chakraborty and her household.
Sushant Singh’s father in his criticism to Bihar Police had alleged that Chakraborty alongside together with her relations had misappropriated Sushant Rajput’s wealth, which was denied by Rhea Chakraborty in TV interviews.
The CBI Director has handed over the probe to the particular investigation department which is tenting in Mumbai and has recorded statements of Rhea Chakraborty and her relations, met police and visited the crime scene.
