Vande Bharat Mission, underneath which Indians stranded overseas on account of situations created by COVID-19 are introduced again dwelling, will proceed, Civil Aviation Ministry stated on Saturday, a day after an Air India Express flight from Dubai crashed at Kozhikode airport ensuing within the demise of 18 individuals.
“Vande Bharat Mission flights have no problem, the mission will continue,” the ministry stated.
The Air India Express flight, which was a part of the Vande Bharat Mission, had crashed on the Kozhikode airport on Friday resulting in demise of 18 individuals together with the 2 pilots.
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri earlier within the day visited the Kozhikode Medical College hospital and took inventory of the therapy of those that have been injured.
He stated in a tweet later that 149 individuals have been admitted to numerous hospitals, 23 have been discharged and three are critically injured.
Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officers have reached Kozhikode to analyze the accident.
