Based on the decisions taken by the respective schools, the government would take a decision,” the School Education Secretary stated in a press release.

The consultations would happen on the schools. The headmasters of presidency, aided and personal schools would chair these conferences, scheduled at 10 a.m. on November 9.
The choice to reopen schools on November 16 was taken following the rules issued by the Centre and inputs obtained by the lecturers.
“However, there are some opinions made through newspapers and TV channels on the decision,” the assertion stated.
DMK president and Leader of the Opposition M.Ok. Stalin and Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam chief T.T.V. Dhinakaran had urged the federal government not to reopen schools for these courses.
