The Delhi authorities on Thursday exempted automobile house owners from paying penalty on street tax liabilities between April and December this 12 months in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Announcing the choice, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot stated the Arvind Kejriwal authorities stands with the widespread folks in tough instances.
“Delhi government in view of COVID-19 has waived the penalty on payment of road tax from April 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020,” he stated in a tweet.
The proposal of the transport division to waive the penalty on street tax was permitted by the Lt Governor. All taxation authorities of the transport division have been requested to make sure compliance with the order.
