Delhi Metro commuters will now be succesful to avail the ability of a model new type of wise card which comes with an auto top-up attribute enabling them to recharge it robotically at Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates of the metro stations.
This new wise card, which is being known as the Zero Human Intervention Metro Smart Card, is on the market for purchasers through the app Autope, which on the time of writing was solely obtainable for Android on Google Play.
“The smart cards issued by the Autope will offer auto top-up functionality whenever the value of smart card goes below Rs. 100 and will automatically recharge the card with Rs. 200 at the AFC entry gate itself. Autope will auto-debit the topped up value from customer’s linked card/ bank account the next working day,” in accordance with an official assertion issued by DMRC on Wednesday.
To avail the suppliers of Autope wise card, the purchasers will be required to register by downloading the Autope app or register at Autope’s cell web site and hyperlink their monetary establishment/ financial institution card/ UPI account to the cardboard as a one-time practice. A nominal value (most of 1 %) will be charged as a consolation value from the consumer for each transaction.
In addition, these commuters who already have current Delhi Metro wise enjoying playing cards may even get the auto top-up attribute enabled of their enjoying playing cards by registering through the Autope app.
“Such existing cardholders need to visit the Customer Care centre of any of the metro stations after three days of registration to get their smart cards activated for this facility as a one-time exercise,” the assertion said.
