Facebook and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have partnered to launch a brand new curriculum on Digital Safety & Online Well-being and Augmented Reality (AR) for Students and Educators. The major goal of the brand new curriculum is to make sure the well-being of scholars and getting ready them for the way forward for work.
These new modules are aimed toward educating secondary college college students on the identical. The curriculum is being made out there on CBSE’s official web site. The curriculum covers varied facets like safety, privateness, psychological well being and Instagram’s Guide for Building Healthy Digital Habits. The modules will assist college students establish and report threats and harassment in addition to report misinformation.
“I congratulate CBSE and Facebook on its partnership to introduce certified programs in Augmented Reality for teachers and Digital Safety and online-wellbeing for students. I encourage the teachers and students to apply for the programs commencing on July 6, 2020,” stated Hon’ble Union Minister of Human Resources Development (HRD) Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal.

As part of the collaboration, Facebook will assist CBSE in its first-ever initiative to introduce AR as a curriculum. To accomplish that, it’ll practice 10,000 academics within the first part and then these 10,000 academics will educate 30,000 college students within the second part. The program could have a length of three weeks, throughout which Facebook will educate the academics and college students fundamentals of AR and methods to utilise Facebook’s software program, Spark AR Studio to create their very own AR experiences
