Veteran politician and five-time MP Radhika Ranjan Pramanik died of age-related illnesses on Sunday, relations mentioned. He was 88. He is survived by his spouse.
Pramanik left the CPI(M) to affix the TMC throughout the later part of his political profession. He was elected to Lok Sabha 5 occasions from Mathurapur on a CPI(M) ticket, starting 1989. Before that he represented Magrahat (East) meeting constituency.
Condoling his dying, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee mentioned in a tweet, “Saddened to hear about the passing away of our dear senior colleague Radhika (da) Ranjan Pramanik. “A 5-time MP, a lot beloved, a lot revered and far admired by us all. A person with huge expertise. An enormous loss for the Trinamool household. My condolences to his household and admirers.”

In another statement, the TMC supremo said, “Pramanik at all times served the marginalised individuals in his lengthy political profession. He stop the traditional Left politics at a later part and joined the maa-mati-manush motion to make our democratic motion stronger.”
