Hindu Mahasabha noticed the 71st demise anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s murderer Nathuram Godse and co-conspirator Narayan Apte in Gwalior on Sunday.
Godse and Apte have been hanged to demise at Ambala Jail on November 15, 1949 after they have been convicted for killing the Mahatma. Hindu Mahasabha observes their demise anniversary because the “sacrifice day”.
Mahasabha stated that if the bust of Godse, confiscated three years in the past from its workplace by the authorities in Gwalior, is just not returned, it can set up a brand new one.
Its nationwide vp Dr Jaiveer Bhardwaj stated, “Our members performed “aarti” and paid tributes to Godse and Apte at Daulatganj.”
“If Godse’s bust is not returned to us by May, we will install a new one,” he stated.
He asserted that it was not a criminal offense to put in a bust in a personal constructing and the Constitution ensures its “puja” (worship).
The district authorities had confiscated Godse’s bust in November 2017, thereby foiling the proper wing outfit’s try to show its workplace into his “temple”.
