Women’s Equality Day: Here’s how girls present solidarity.
- Internationally, purple is a color symbolizing girls’s equality. It is alleged to have originated from the Women’s Social and Political Union within the UK in 1908. Purple signifies justice and dignity.
- Purple Wristband: You can get a purple rubber or latex band and put on it in your wrist. There are bands made from woven threads and fabric which you can go for.
- Purple Top: Many girls go for a plain purple high or T-shirt. You have one with ‘girls empowerment’ quote on it.
- Purple Ribbon: One of the simplest methods to watch the day is to get a purple ribbon and tie it in your arm or wrist
- Purple Scarf: Wear a purple scarf round your neck or in your head
