Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Monday launched an eight-week alternative academic calendar, developed by NCERT, for classes 6 to 8. The alternative calendar maps the themes with studying outcomes to facilitate the evaluation of progress within the studying of youngsters.
The Education minister whereas tweeting about alternative academic calendar wrote, ‘Alternative Academic Calendar for higher major stage (Classes VI to VIII) for 4 weeks was launched earlier. I’ve launched the academic calendar for the following eight weeks at present.”

The academic calendar incorporates week-wise plans consisting of attention-grabbing and difficult actions, with reference to theme/chapter taken from syllabus or textbook. Most importantly, it maps the themes with the educational outcomes.
