The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has launched a younger analysis fellow programme aimed toward motivating undergraduate students taking over a profession in analysis and utility of deeper studying.
The programme offers an one-to-one interplay with IIT school members to take part in analysis.
The students would additionally profit personally by a profession and life teaching programme concurrently provided by the 1979 alumni, a press launch stated on Saturday.
“IIT-Madras has long been known for producing world-class undergraduate students.
Today, IIT-M is very much a research intensive university where world-class research is a daily pursuit,” IIT Madras Director Bhaskar Ramamurthi stated.
“This programme blends these two strengths by giving select undergraduate students an opportunity to discover the excitement of taking up research early,” he stated.
The Young Research Fellow undertaking has been funded by the 1979 batch and it was signed on July 10 by IIT Madras dean (alumni and company relations) Mahesh Panchagnula on behalf of the alumni, the discharge stated.
Accordingly, a year-long programme and upto 20 fellowships have been deliberate to be unveiled within the first yr.
The candidates can be chosen by a committee, comprising senior school members, the discharge added.
