Australian cricketer Steve Smith on Sunday congratulated MS Dhoni on his “amazing international career” and termed the two-time World Cup-winning captain a “true gentleman” and an “incredibly tough opponent”. On Saturday, the wicket-keeper batsman introduced his retirement from worldwide cricket. “Congrats @mahi7781 on an amazing international career. You were an incredibly tough opponent and a player that I always admired. It was an absolute pleasure to play with you for a few years at Pune and getting to know you a bit. You are a true gentleman and I wish you all the best in retirement,” Smith wrote in an Instagram submit.
MS Dhoni had shared a video on Instagram and captioned it as, “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired.”
The video had the enduring music ‘Mai Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hu’ from Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kabhie Kabhie’ taking part in within the background and in it, Dhoni shared his unimaginable journey with the Indian group together with his run out within the final recreation towards New Zealand within the World Cup 2019 semifinal.

Dhoni had made his ODI debut towards Bangladesh in 2004. Dhoni performed 350 ODIs along with his highest rating being 183 towards Sri Lanka. He stays the one captain to win all main ICC trophies (50-over World Cup, T20 World Cup, and Champions Trophy).
