JEE Advanced 2020: Union HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal on Friday mentioned that the Joint Admission Board has determined that the candidates who will clear the JEE Advanced will likely be eligible for admission to IITs irrespective of their class 12 marks. The choice has been taken because of the partial cancellation of class 12 board exams by a number of boards.
The Minister on his official twitter deal with wrote, “Due to the partial cancellation of class XII exams by several Boards, Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to relax the eligibility criterion for #JEE (Advanced) 2020 qualified candidates this time.”

Usually, candidates will need to have secured no less than 75% combination marks in the Class XII (or an equal) Board examination or ought to work out in the highest 20 percentile of profitable candidates in their respective Class XII (or equal) board examination. The combination marks for SC, ST, and PwD candidates needs to be no less than 65%.
Earlier this month, HRD Minister introduced the choice to postpone the JEE Main and NEET 2020 examinations.
