JEE Mains 2020: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated that 75 per cent of the state’s candidates could not take JEE on Tuesday whereas solely half of them managed to flip up in examination centres in different states due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic state of affairs.
She stated that her authorities had made all of the preparations for the scholars, however only one,167 wrote the check although 4,652 candidates had been scheduled to seem for it on Tuesday, the primary day of the examination.
“The students are in great trouble. They were not able to attempt the JEE examinations. In other states, more than 50 per cent of the students were not able to appear for it because of the pandemic situation,” Banerjee instructed reporters.
The chief minister had earlier requested the Centre not to maintain the JEE amid the pandemic state of affairs.
