Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his Indian-origin working mate Kamala Harris on Saturday greeted the Hindu neighborhood on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and expressed hope for a model new beginning.
“To everyone celebrating the Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi in the US, India, and around the world, may you overcome all obstacles, be blessed with wisdom, and find a path toward new beginnings,” Biden acknowledged in a tweet.
Mr Harris moreover extended her greetings to the Hindu neighborhood on the auspicious occasion.
“Joining @ JoeBiden in wishing everyone celebrating a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi,” Mr Harris acknowledged, retweeting Mr Biden’s tweet.
On the final word day of the four-day digital Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Thursday, Mr Biden, 77, accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination as a result of the presidential candidate to drawback incumbent President Trump, a Republican, inside the November three presidential election.
Ms Harris, 55, scripted historic previous in US politics as she turned the first Indian-American and Black girl to get a major celebration’s vice presidential nomination on the third day of the DNC.
